I thought it would be fun to take you on a tour of
my sister's homes here in Chair Bottom Hollow. They are
a crazy bunch and there is no telling what they will be up to today.
There are five of us girls and I think it is only fair that
we drop in to see the oldest one first. What is
that old saying "age before beauty"? All you have to
do is click on the door and I hope you have
a good time.
I guess I should tell you a little bit about my oldest
sister. I would say Modena is the dreamer of the family.
She is the only person I know who can put supper on
the stove, go sit out under a tree and forget about it until the
smoke starts billowing from the house.
Modena writes beautiful poetry and if we are lucky
maybe she will share some of her poems with us.
She also crochets, knits and paints. I guess she is what
you would call a CREATIVE person.
Well let's get across the pond and see
if she is home.
Well are you ready to meet sister number two? Our
next stop will be over the next ridge where Wanda
has her home. I guess you could say that she and I have
a lot in common. Some of the other family members may say we
are a little TACKY, but I think we have a lot of
class.
Wanda crochets, knits, sews, gardens and surfs the web.
Gosh we are a creative bunch! She has also done a lot of the
family research that you will find at the LONG Family
home.
Okay I have done enough patting her on the
back let's go see if she has the coffee pot on.
My sister Maurine lives in that big house you see up
on the hill. She loves to decorate and
I am sure she will enjoy sharing her home with
you.
Maurine is very involved in local government
and in researching our family genealogy. She is also an avid doll
collector. While you are visiting see if you can count her
dolls and see how many she
REALLY has!!
Well are you ready to hike up the hill and see if she is
home?
Let's get back down the hill
where we will find my last sister Barbara, or
as the family calls her Bobby. What can I say about her?? Bobby is? I guess
Bobby is just Bobby!! Well lets stop by and see what she is up to. There
is one thing though she will probably talk your ears off so don't
say I didn't warn you.
Well we have finally made it to the last house on the tour.
This home belongs to Penny, that's me! Come on in and have a look around,
and don't worry about the dogs their bark is worse than their bite.
Well did you enjoy visiting our homes? We sure enjoyed
you stopping by and hope you come back real soon. I have another page of
relatives so you might want to drop in on them when you get the
chance.
The door on the left leads
back to the family home and
the door on the right will
take you to the rest of the
family pages.
I love graphics and using them to build these pages but I have
no talent when it comes to making them. I would like to thank
the following people for their generosity in making their wonderful
graphics available to people like me. They are some very talented people
and deserve all the credit I can give them. Many thanks from
Penny!!
